Have Box Will Travel is a one man show written and performed by Charlie Dark, co produced and directed by Benji Reid . The show will be touring in 2008. Have Box will Travel is a rites of passage story that takes you from a bedroom in South London around the world and back again..with a soundtrack of tracks that have shaped my life and slick direction from hip Hop theatre's favourite Benji Reid.

Touring March until may 2008 and September until November 2008. Also available for international touring.

My name is Charlie Dark and i'm a DJ,Producer and Writer based in London. Some of you may know me from my involvement with Attica Blues or my work as a spoken word artist. Current projects include running the monthly Blacktronica nights at the British Film Institute and running poetry and creative writing projects across the UK. I am also involved in a ground breaking project called Power In The Voice which is a nine country literature project run by the British Council in Southern Africa. Aside from that i can be found spinning records for people across the globe and ensuring that my children always have food to eat. Have Box Will Travel is a one man show comissioned by Birmingham Rep Theatre, written and produced by myself and co-produced and directed by my good friend and acclaimed director Benji Reid, HBWT takes the audience on a journey from my childhood bedroom in South London, around the world in 80 beats and back again. A rites of passage story charting the highs and lows of my musical career and the numerous characters and adventures I've encountered along the way. The Have Box Will Travel Show is a monthly podcast digging through the stories and tunes that have inspired the show and a place to connect with other like minded music lovers across the world.
